Inspiration
from my favourite quotes and people

"...Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Marianne Williamson, Return to Love
This quote is often incorrectly attributed to Nelson Mandela in his inauguration speech.  Marianne's book is a fantastic book associated with A Course in Miracles, which is quite a sacred book for me.

“Exceptional subjective experiences of truth—the province of the mystic, who affects all mankind by sending forth energy of his level into the collective consciousness—are not understandable to the majority of mankind, and therefore are of limited meaning except to other spiritual seekers.  I (Dr. Hawkins) sought now to be ORDINARYbecause just being ordinary in itself is an expression of divinity; the truth of one’s real self can be discovered through the pathway of everyday life.  To live with care and kindness is all that is necessary.  The rest reveals itself in due time.  The commonplace and God are not distinct.   . . . So Bring the Presence that has moved my life perhaps at least a little closer to the grasp of as many of my fellow beings as I can reach."

--Dr. David Hawkins, Power vs. Force
